EPIC RESEARCH MCX Menthaoil UPDATE OF 14 January 2019

Menthaoil trading range for the day is 1598.4-1630.4.

* Mentha oil spot at Sambhal closed at 1755.90 per 1kg. Spot prices was up by Rs.13.70/-.

* Mentha oil prices gained after prices gained amid surge in demand amid low supply.

* With returns from major staple or cereal crops turning unviable, farmers in some areas of Madhya Pradesh are slowly taking recourse to mentha.

* Production of mentha oil in Madhya Pradesh in 2018 at 10,000-20,000 drums, against 3,000-7,000 drums a year ago.
