EPIC RESEARCH MCX Nickel UPDATE OF 14 January 2019

Nickel trading range for the day is 785.6-819.6.

* Nickel prices gained on preparations for more trade talks between Washington and Beijing raised expectations of an easing of tensions.

* China produced 15,800 mt of nickel in December, 4.45% higher than December 2017.

* The Labor Department said its Consumer Price Index dipped 0.1 percent last month, the first drop and weakest reading since March.
